5 WAYS TO MAKE YOURSELF A MORNING WORKOUT PERSON

Leaving your bed very early in the morning is not easy, especially for purposes of working out. It’s so tempting to stay in your bed and press “pass” for that day. But here are 5 ways to motivate and make yourself a morning workout person.

1.      The alarm
Use an irritating alarm sound, volume at maximum, and place the alarm device at a distance. The irritation will force you to move across the room to turn off the alarm and if you see your gear ready for you to put on, there will be less reason for you to go back to bed.

2.      Dress up the night before
Going to bed with your workout clothes on can save you the burden of time wasting while dressing up in the morning therefore leaving you with less reason for pulling the blankets over your head. It also creates more time for your workout.

3.       Encourage yourself
When you feel like you might not be able to make it or your moods are low, pep talk yourself; remind yourself of the benefits and how many people you have to disprove (if any).

4.      Make it a competition
Find a gym partner or friend and set up a little competition, say the first to show up late does 30 extra push ups. If you work out alone, you could buy yourself a new gear worth showing off. This can be motivation enough.

5.      Find a trainer

A trainer will help you out with your moves but also consider one you will be paying for each session, attended or missed. When you think about how much money you can lose when you miss, you will definitely get out of bed.
