For those who don’t know what saddlebags are, they are excess fat
that is collected around your thighs and butt. They arise when the body treats
your thighs as pockets where it deposits or keeps all the excess fat from the
rest of the body. But luckily enough, they can be kissed goodbye if you only
follow these simple steps.
1. Watch what you eat
As it has been said for
all fat related problems, diet is the leading cause of excess and unwanted fat
in the body. Junk and food with a high amount of calories should be greatly
avoided. Food rich in fibre and lean protein is rather recommended. And try to
have only those meals that are low in processed foods.
2. Side lunges
This is effective for
shaping the butt and thighs perfectly. Hold about 10 pounds weight in both
hands, and start with legs joined. Now take a large step to the left and lunge
towards the floor. Push off through your left foot to return to default
position. Do 10 reps for each side.
3. Plié squat
Almost the same as a
normal squat but I can say, better. Get in the squat position and pivot the
balls of your feet to move your body 90-degrees to the right. Do 20 reps.
4. Lateral step extension.
Here we use a step bench.
Stand with your left side facing the step and bend into a squat. Now hop
sideways landing on the step and hop back into the default position. It is done
with dumbbells in each hand in front of your thighs. When you hop onto the
bench, lift your right leg 45 degrees to the side. Hold for 4 seconds and
repeat for 15 times each side.
